BioPerl

This page will link to exercises I did while at UCSC extension studying Perl and BioPerl. This course consisted primarily of two Perl courses, course two and three, that are listed below. These exercises are presented with permission from Joe Puliadi, who taught this great course.

Class II Assignments:

  1. Class 1, exercise 1 - text description
  2. Class 1, exercise 2 - text description
  3. Class 2, exercise 1 - text description
  4. Class 2, exercise 2 - text description
  5. Class 2, exercise 3 - text description
  6. Class 3, exercise 1 - text description

The programs that were created for the assignments above are listed below (alphabetically). The text files are Perl scripts, and their outputs, that might be easier for you to download, inspect, and copy into tools like OptiPerl, JCreator, or whatever code editor or IDE you are using.

You'll need to right-click on the .pl (Perl) files to download, as the browser may otherwise try to execute the code. The .txt (text) files are an easy way to see the code, and program output, and can be opened in your Web browser, or right-click to download. Try the zipped archives too!
