Welcome to COIN78, Introduction to XML. The syllabus, course outline, tutorials, and links to the assignments can be accessed from this page. This website provides the necessary material for Spring Quarter 2009. Students should also read this page first. Please note that the assignments schedule has changed.
You should read the Assignments page, and download simple.xml, edit the data fields in Notepad, and email it to me by April 15, 2009. This is your "assignment zero", which starts your journey through this course.
Given the many approaches to learning XML, you can really start anywhere after you have learned the basics. The assignments for physical and online sections are the same. You can view examples of "best practice" work of previous students by looking at the "example files" page.
If you are not enrolled in this class, you may use this website as a guide to learning about XML. The tutorials and example files are provided on a "buyer beware basis". This site has a lot of information, and is being updated. Please send comments as needed.
